Debbie has 16 years of experience as a teacher with By the Book. Debbie has four children and five grandchildren (one in Heaven). She attends College Park Church and works part-time at the Huntington City-Township Public Library.

Her favorite Bible passage is Revelation 19:11–16, which speaks about the second coming of Christ. Debbie says, “It is full of hope for the future.” She loves many stories from the Bible, but one of her favorites is the story of Mary pouring her entire alabaster jar of perfume on Jesus' feet. Debbie loves teaching for By the Book because she enjoys telling kids the truth. “So much of life is confusing nowadays, but there is truth to anchor their souls,” says Debbie.

Her hobbies include memorizing scripture (she is currently working on the book of Revelation), gardening, reading, solving puzzles, and visiting people. Her favorite current song is “Taking It All Back” by Tauren Wells.
