Stephanie Thompson has been the director of By the Book Weekday Religious Education since July 2020. Prior to stepping into this leadership position, she was a teacher for By the Book for 10 years. She continues to teach Bible lessons for three elementary schools in the county. Her favorite Bible story is the story of Joseph from Genesis. “There are so many great lifeskills that can be learned from Joseph like integrity, obedience, and forgiveness. In this story, we see Joseph trusting God even when his circumstances look pretty grim and Joseph has no idea how God is going to work things out. Joseph trusted God no matter what.”

Originally from western Illinois, Stephanie has lived in rural Andrews 16 years, where her husband serves as pastor of County Line Church. They have 4 children- 2 that are grown, one in college and one in high school. Stephanie graduated from Clearwater Christian College in 1991 with an elementary education degree. When she’s not working she enjoys traveling, hiking, writing, and reading.
